A Gender Neutral Gender Reveal Party

It's gender reveal time! I had my 20 week ultrasound this week and the results are in! Have any guesses??

To share the news, we decided to throw a very last-minute gender reveal party with some of our close friends. I kept a gender neutral color palette of black, white and tan for the gender reveal...which is kind of ironic if you think about it. :) I created a simple black and gold "Boy or Girl?" banner that hung from the food table while a white bunting banner hung above. A few blankets and floor cushions were laid out in the yard to hang out on.

I put together a simple, crowd pleasing menu of pre-cut meats and cheeses, mixed nuts and various crackers, veggies with hummus, fresh fruit, yogurt covered pretzels, and black and white cookies.

The cupcakes served as both dessert AND the gender reveal portion of the party. I filled a select number of the cupcakes with blue or pink icing. We had our friends line up and take a bite of their cupcakes at the same time to reveal the gender. So without further ado, the next Jolley baby is...

...A BOY!!!! That's right, we will be having another little boy! Did you guess right?? The majority of the people in our lives were Team Girl (including Bert), but I am actually very excited about the idea of brothers and having two little boys to chase after! :)

After we officially revealed the gender, we had a name suggestion station where friends left both serious (Theodore, Ian and Maddox to name a few) and not-so-serious (Jimothy, Charvey, and Beauregreg, anyone?) name ideas for our little boy.

We cannot wait to meet this precious baby boy and we give thanks to God for a healthy baby up until this point. Thanks for reading along!! :)
